[Project] Sleek: A Free CSS Template

I had some excess time the other day, and with this extra time I had, I decided that I would make a contribution to the community by releasing a free CSS template: sleek.

Sleek is true to its name. It has a monochrome layout that gives heavy emphasis to its content, which is beautiful as a photo blog or a single page portfolio.

Background.

The background has a beautiful and elegant fluer-de-lac generated from bgPatterns. It’s a wonderful generator for any tiled background images.

Although the design looks quite old and it reminds me of the wallpaper in my restroom, it is still an elegant look and the light colors really help it look good and to focus on the content.

Floating elements.

There are many floating elements on the page. The header is one of them, and the footer is the other. They both degrade peacefully and elegantly if CSS is not enabled.

You can change the header (obviously) but there is no changing of the footer, which houses the credit link. You can, however, add your own copyright notices.

How to get it.

If you want to get it, it is just easy. Just read the page. Somewhere on it will be a download link. I don’t give it out up front so you have to read it.

View “Sleek” and download.

You can visit them by viewing them on the projects page here.
