Stunning Silence v.1.1.2 [WordPress theme]

Note: this version has been deprecated.

Stunning Silence: a WordPress theme with alluding beauty and a beauty all around, from the backend to the front-end. This is a theme you will want on your blog. Featuring a huge options page for hard-core customizing and a simple modern look on the outside, it is great for your blog.

The overview.

  • Superior customization: A huge options page with over ten options to choose from, including the color and stickiness of the navigation bar, where the Twitter blurb displays, and custom text in the footer.
  • Simple and clean: It’s simple and clean, great for businesses and any blog where you want your viewers to know you mean business.
  • Navigation bar: It can stay at the top or scroll with you, you can change the color of it, and whether it is preceded by the text “Navigation” or not. Better yet, specify your own text.
  • Twitter integration: a great place to put your Twitter messages is the header, with all sorts of settings. Want it to display on only the home page? No problem.
  • Clean fonts and careful typography. Line height, font selection, and weights have all been selected. Fonts used are Arial and Helvetica which are supported on virtually every browser.
  • Customizable footer. Add your own text, choose whether to show login/logout links or copyright messages: it is all up to you.
  • Integrated search box: the search box is there, and is obvious on first sight, giving your users a quick and easy way to find what they are looking for.
  • Widget sidebar. Use the default sidebar if you want, or use the widgetized sidebar to pick your own widgets on the sidebar.
  • XHTML valid. Be sure to offer your users the best.
  • It is only $0.00. This theme is licensed under GPL and is completely free.

    Dear Brandon,

I recently chose Stunning Silence for my website. It is fabulous, and I had no idea that you were 12 years old. You are a gifted designer. I found your theme at the last minute, after I had inadvertently and irreversibly deleted the CSS of my previous theme; a blessing in disguise because the previous theme was nice, but yours is outstanding, and enhances the site enormously. So, thanks for creating such a wonderful theme.

I’ve used a lot of the built in customization, but I think there are things that require code changes. I’m not that good at html, and I hope you can help me with a few things. I’ve been working with a WordPress guru but my time is up with him and I want to launch this site (which I have been working on, not full-time, for about nine months) in a matter of days.

First, is it possible to get the menu to be right justified?

Second, I cannot figure out how to format the headers; when I open a page the header is very clear for a moment and then fades into a very fuzzy and unreadable small line.

Third, how can I get all of my internal links to appear as bold, not underlined?

Fourth, when I’ve tried to use the option to generate the menu, what I choose in the pixo-picker site is not what appears on the page. I’ve selected colors for background, text and whatnot, created the code accordingly, cut and pasted it accordingly, and I don’t see what I thought I was going to get. Either I’m doing something wrong or there’s a glitch in that program.

I am using Firefox and WP v. 2.8

Again, Brandon, congratulations on not only a brilliant and beautiful design, but on your overall design capabilities. I am sure you will go far.

    Sincerely,

    Susan Kaplan
