Introducing sleek from [ bw design ]. Clean lines, elegant backgrounds, and proper styling enable you to deliver a rich and lush experience to customers and visitors to your website.
This design styles anything you could want to style, elegantly aligning images, properly displaying text in clean fonts, highlighting links, and you can even include some code if you like. If you like, of course. You don't have to.
This design is a pet-project from Brandon Wang, while experimenting with colors and layouts, he found that this design was a beautiful one-column design that could beautifully show text. It's great for literature, but you can use it to showcase anything you would like.
What do I need to learn?
You don't have to relearn anything, although you will need to get used to the template tags, IDs, and classes used throughout the document. But that's not hard. In fact, I'll show you how it works right now.
The main thing to know about is that headings need to start at <h3> and they go down from there. Heading One is used to the title of the page (which stays with you whereever you are) and Heading Two is used for the sub-title.
<img> Images are embedded as usual. Be sure to self-close them (like <img />) or they won't validate. If you would like to right-align or left-align them to the document, just add class="left" or class="right". They'll work out great if you do. Images even come with an elegant border around it.
Sweet! Can I use it?
That's the best part. You can use it on your own projects, providing that they aren't commercial projects, and you leave the link in the footer, without no-follow. The link has to be there.
